Perhaps one of the reasons why tattoo has been elevated to celebrity status is because celebrities are in a race having their bodies inked. As proof of the entry of tattoo into mainstream consciousness is the existence of television shows having tattoo as their main theme. Miami ink and prison break are popular television shows with tattoo as its common denominator.

She has tattoos located on her lower back, shoulder blade, left arm and perhaps scores of tiny tattoos not easily captured by media. She has been photographed with a prayer tattoo that reads "A prayer for the wild at heart, kept in cages." She also has one at the back which reads "Know your rights."
Nicole Richie
Nicole Richie has a rosary beads tattoo on her ankle. Best friend Paris Hilton was photographed with a new butterfly tattoo at the back and a tattoo that has been erased on her right butt check.
Megan Fox
The sexy hot star of the Transformer series is a tattoo enthusiast even if her mother is not. She has a star, a Marilyn Monroe and quotes tattoo. Her tattoo reads "We will all laugh at gilded butterflies." Another one reads "There once was a little girl who never knew love until a boy broke her heart."
Believe it or not the crazy outgoing Steve-O does have some regrets about the many tattoos he has. However, he has no problem with the huge tattoo of himself that covers his entire back that reads "Yeah Dude, I rock! Steve-O" nor does he regret his copy cat tattooed of Angelina Jolie's prayer for her eldest son Maddox on his shoulder blade. Or having Billy Bob name written on his arm. Not to mention the "I have a small wiener" on his arm." But he does regret a pot leaf on his wrist and a certain male body part on his arm.
